Sometimes the Helper cannot be found automatically. If there are no firewalls on the network, you can manually connect your Windows Kiosk or iPad app to the Helper by inputting the Helper IP address. This tutorial will show you how to do so for both the Windows and iPad apps.

Find Helper IP Address

1.

On the Helper PC, open Command Prompt by typing CMD into the Windows search field and press enter.

2.

In the new window, type ipconfig and press enter. Your window should look something like this:

3.

Your IP address will be inline with IPv4 Address. In this case it's 192.168.1.24

Windows Kiosk

1.

Open Windows Kiosk settings and navigate to the PPU/Helper tab. Press the button labeled Manual.

2.

In the pop up, input the IP address from the previous section, inn this case 192.168.1.24, and press OK.

You should now see the PC name in the PPU Helpers on Network drop down list. Press OK to save.

iPad Kiosk

1.

Open the iPad app settings and navigate to the PPU Helper tab. Next to Helper Location tap Manual.

2.

Tap inside the field next to the Connect button and type in the IP address. You do not need to enter http:// or :8888.

3.

Tap the Connect button then tap OK.

Congrats!  You successfully connected using your PC IP.
