If your Infinite or Venture boots to a black American Megatrends screen, you should perform the following:

**You will need a wired USB keyboard, plugged into any open USB port on the booth**

Turn the machine on, and immediately start pressing F2. This will force the PC to boot into the BIOS Settings. Once in BIOS, use the keyboard arrow keys to check the following:

In the Advanced tab, select SATA Configuration and press Enter:

Check that your Drive shows, as below:

If it shows up there, in the Boot menu, scroll down to Boot Option 1, then try cycling through the options using the + and - keys on the keyboard, to select the proper Hard Disk drive:

Once your drive is selected, press F10 to save BIOS settings. Allow the system to reboot and WIndows should load normally - this confirms you need to replace the BIOS battery on the motherboard. Follow further steps below for details.

If the hard drive does NOT appear in BIOS, the hard drive likely needs to be replaced. Contact LAPP Support.

The BIOS battery will likely be yellow or black and shaped like a disc, as shown below. The red and black two prong connector will unplug in order for the new battery to be installed:
